Does Bettger mean bores will succeed? Don't overlook the adverb: earnestly. Knowing the core story of your business - what makes you unique, even invaluable - is the first step. Being able to articulate that message is next. Doing so earnestly makes that story compelling to the listener, and much more likely to generate a positive response. Doing it consistently - five or six times a day - means you are in the habit of selling yourself and your business, a habit that will reap dividends.
