In real life, strategy is actually very straightforward … you pick a general direction and implement like hell.
Having absolute confidence in the 'general direction' you've chosen is crucial to giving you and your team the motivation you/they need to 'implement like hell.' Implementation can indeed be hell if the direction of the strategy is not fully agreed, embraced, internalised and trusted. Time spent mapping out your desired direction pays massive dividends in motivation, energy and faith.
